On-Site Service 24/7/365

Baldwin County Sewer Service, LLC (BCSS) has just completed a new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Summerdale, Alabama. Adding this WWTP improves our sewer system in the central part of the county as well as allows for more capacity at the Malbis WWTP.

Until recently, wastewater flows from Summerdale and the surrounding areas were transported to our Malbis WWTP, and these flows are now sent to and treated at this new WWTP. BCSS continually upgrades our sewer system throughout the county to uphold optimal maintenance and to accommodate customer growth.

The new plant handles capacity of 500,000 gallons per day, and it utilizes an ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system with point source discharge. BCSS operates four other WWTPs in Baldwin County, in Malbis, Lillian, Gulf Shores and at Steelwood in Loxley. You can learn more about our treatment plants on this site.
