The Health Department and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommend that septic tanks are pumped every 3-5 years to prevent costly and hazardous septic system problems.

The EPA’s Top Reasons to Maintain Your Septic System:
  • Saves Your Money: Regular maintenance fees every few years is a bargain compared to the cost of repairing or replacing a malfunctioning system, which can cost thousands of dollars for a conventional system.
  • Protects Your Property Value: An unusable septic system or one in disrepair will lower your property value, and potentially can pose a costly legal liability.
  • Keeps Your & Neighbors Healthy: Insufficiently treated sewage from septic systems can cause groundwater contamination, which can spread disease in humans and animals.
  • Protects the environment: Malfunctioning septic systems release bacteria, viruses and chemicals toxic to local waterways.
