[September 2016] Baldwin County Sewer Service, LLC (BCSS) recently began expanding the Lillian Wastewater Treatment Plant. As part of the new expansion, BCSS crews are installing a ten inch treated water effluent line. The path of the new line will travel mainly along County Road 91, and additional roads include Sunset Drive, County Road 93 and Highway 98. The treatment plant expansion is approved and permitted by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) and the Baldwin County Highway Department. Once the extension is complete, the latest effluent line will range from BCSS’ current wastewater treatment plant on Caney Loop to Narrow Gap Creek on the north end of County Road 91. BCSS is aiming to complete the extension by the end of 2016 or beginning of 2017.
