BCSS Supports the Lillian Volunteer Fire Department

The Lillian Volunteer Fire Department responds to 700 emergency calls per year, 85% of those being medical emergencies. Their work is critical to the community. Because they are not permitted to use Ad Valorem funds for medical expenses, they continually seek donations from the community.

Last fall, Baldwin County Sewer Service partnered with the Lillian Volunteer Fire Department with a big fundraising push. BCSS agreed to donate at least $150, plus an additional $10 for each property owner that contributed at least $75. Lillian-area BCSS customers received a note outlining this fundraising effort with their monthly bill. They also received a letter from the Lillian Volunteer Fire Department that provided an update of their services and encouraged donations for their operations.

Thanks to the generosity of BCSS customers, BCSS donated $2,000 to the Lillian Volunteer Fire Department in January 2017.
